Below is a list of the venues, dates, facilitators and performers for each borough. Space is very limited for each discussion. General public RSVP addresses provided. Tickets for the performances at night are available for purchase at the respective venue web site.

QUEENS - Sun, Sep 25 featuring Mobb Deep's 'The Infamous'
Queens, birthplace of hip-hop pioneers such as MC Shan, LL Cool J, Nas, Run DMC and A Tribe Called Quest, will be the first borough focus for the Red Bull Music Academy World Tour. "The Infamous," Mobb Deep's magnum opus, is still one of the most influential pieces of work to come out of the 90s hip-hop movement and was instrumental in putting the Queensbridge Housing Projects back on the map.

"Who Got the Props?," "I Got Cha Opin" and "How Many Emcees?" remain some of the most revered tracks of all time in New York's deep hip-hop history.

R.I.P 2PAC - Holler If You Hear Me (1993)

Couldn't let today go by without blessing this blog with some Pac. September 13th is another day I will never forget. Back when you learned news over the radio, I heard Colby Colb on Power 99 announce it around 8pm on a Friday night. I just knew Pac would pull through. He never came across as a mere mortal and he was shot before so hearing that he was gone I was disappointed. I felt that all the East Coast v. West Coast drama was the cause, I have since matured and now know that VIBE was not a bible, but a magazine in business to sell crap to the youth. But trust when I came home from school and that magazine was sitting in the door, nothing else mattered. Oh Oprah would be on, but VIBE held my attention. I would soak up every word until bedtime. Now remember back in these days VIBE was wide and I would hate folding it to take to school, so I would place it as careful as I could so I wouldn't bend the corners or wrinkle a page. Til this day I am still this anal when it comes to my books and mags. Entertainment media was an entirely different animal back in those days. You really had to search for news, it wasn't so instant like it is now. #nostalgicmoment

Register Today! Coast 2 Coast Convention "Meet the New Music Industry" September 29-October 2, 2011 - Downtown Miami

Time has flown by, in less than 3 weeks the Coast 2 Coast Convention is going down. So many of you send in your music asking for feedback or asking for advice about breaking into the industry, well one of the most important ways is to get off the computer and start attending events and BAM...you will break into the industry. But in all seriousness, its important to learn from those doing what you want to do or is the person in charge of the people doing what you want to do. It may not necessarily lead to your big break, but its a step forward and may give you that much needed motivation to keep going. Its all a great way to network and put faces to screen names.

Weekend Passes are now $175
