The four shows will be on August 20th in Los Angeles, August 27th in San Francisco, September 3rd in New York, and September 10th in Boston. What makes Rock the Bells unique is that artists will perform albums in their entirety. Yes you've read that correct, it stay Lauryn will be doing Miseducation, yes as in The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill!!! Nas will do Illmatic. Come on, feel old with me. I had this on cassette tape. Mobb Deep will do The Infamous. Raekwon...Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. I remember ordering these from BMG (who remembers BMG and Columbia House?). Souls of Mischief...93 Til Infinity and Talib and Mos will be Black Star again. This is very exciting news, but maybe this could just be me. I'll be 31 by the time this show rolls through New York, I am so over standing up in a crowd. I wish hip hop didn't have such a bad rep maybe we can bring chairs to a venue. I know when my mom sees War or Earth Wind & Fire and acts like that she has a picnic with her lol.

[video/mp3] Tanya Morgan – "Without Hands" Feat. Che Grand, King Mez & Skyzoo (Prod. By Veterano)

via Audible Treats Release

Two months ago, artists, fans, and industry folks from around the world converged on Austin, Texas for SXSW, with 1,000's of performances throughout the week. For a few select artists, the occasion also offered the opportunity to come together and collaborate with peers, and that's precisely what happened for Tanya Morgan, who came together with Che Grand, King Mez, Skyzoo, and producer Veterano, to record this brand new song, "Without Hands," which will be a part of The Official SXSW Mixtape, dropping May 31st at DJBooth.net.

The song was recorded on the Unique Squared Mobile Studio, a state of the art recording studio contained within a massive, 45-foot tour bus, as a part of a three-day initiative to bring artists together to collaborate, fostering an environment that allowed artists to harness their creativity. The track was recorded and mixed by Fokis, and three-peat Scribble Jam DJ Battle champion DJ Presyce handled all cuts and scratches.

The Official SXSW Mixtape, which also features Ro Spit, Kosha Dillz, Khaleel, Nick Javas, J-Live, Apollo Brown, IMAKEMADBEATS, Dynamite Brothers, and D.R.U.G.S. Kels of TN2 Productions will be available for free download beginning May 31st at DJBooth.net.
