As Vick Awaits Release Extend Your Support

Counting down the days to Michael Vick's release from a federal prison those that support him can only hope he can get his life back on track and this includes a return to the NFL. Make sure to visit http://www.isupport7.com/ for all the latest updates and to also express your well wishes as Vick begins a new chapter in his life.
In Related "This is some bullshit" News:
Goodell: Vick's ticket back is "genuine remorse"

I just think this article lets you know this isn't about dogfighting, this is personal for whatever reason. I know the NFL isn't concerned with animal rights groups or people not buying tickets, if anything fans will buy as long as the team is winning and this could all go away. Think Kobe Bryant, which is my opinion was way more serious, I'm just sayin!

Iverson Gets Banned from Two Detroit Casinos

*UPDATE: It was announced on 4.15.09 that this report was FALSE. There was never a ban. Read the complete updated post here.

Anything negative, A.I. makes the news of course. It just seems that the media has it out for him. No one talks about how well he has handled NOT playing in Detroit. In fact, he was benched in favor of a rookie. I really don't see the big deal in Allen hanging in casinos. You know how much Charles Barkley & Michael Jordan loves them. Some of this behavior doesn't even sound like him. I take it he was losing thousands to react this way. He never liked to lose, that's why he's a hell of a ballplayer.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports:

Allen Iverson has been banned from both MGM and Greektown casinos in downtown Detroit, the Detroit News reported on its Pistons blog.
A regular casino visitor since he arrived in town, the blog said Iverson has been "banned mostly for his boorish behavior. He is a bad loser, and he loses a lot, often throwing his chips or cards at the dealer. He has been warned about improper behavior at the tables repeatedly. He is often loud and disruptive, according to witnesses, rude to dealers, other players and the wait staff."

The NBA is looking into an incident at Greektown that involved one of Iverson's bodyguards, the News said. It is unclear what Iverson's role was.

Iverson caused a disturbance at a casino outside Minneapolis earlier this season and had a long history in Atlantic City while he was with the 76ers.

In December 2005, Iverson got into an argument with a dealer at the Trump Taj Mahal casino after the dealer overpaid him $10,000 on a bet he made while playing three-card stud poker. Iverson initially refused to give the chips back but did so later and received a gaming voucher in that amount from the Taj.

In February 2004, Iverson urinated into a trashcan at Bally's on the casino floor, shocking nearby patrons. On several trips to Philadelphia, Iverson and his friends returned to the Taj Mahal, his Atlantic City spot of choice.

Bow Wow Announces His Jay-Z style Retirement Plan

Newsflash, in case you didn't know New Jack City II was his last album. I don't recall hearing this info pre-first week sales, but he's not worried, negro got options: acting, clothing line, you know the standard benefits package to keep rappers off the street. Oh and he will still make songs, just not albums and he'll tour. So he basically announces he'll be the same Bow Wow to us that never brought his albums in the first place. Not because we didn't like his music, just because we was too damn old to own a Bow Wow album. *Raising my hand*

Can I get a replica???

The Philadelphia Phillies were presented with their 2008 World Series Championship rings this afternoon. Feels like the parade just happened. Time is flying.

Jimmy Rollins and his Phillies championship teammates are rocking 14 karat white gold ring contains 103 diamonds, totaling 3.84 karats.

The 103 diamonds represent the 92 regular season and 11 postseason wins for the Phillies in 2008.

The top of the ring is crowned with a ruby inlay, topped with the Phillies' signature "P" which is inset with diamonds.
The title "World Champions" is written along the ring's top and bottom outer rim.
The right side of the ring depicts the World Series trophy rising out of Citizens Bank Park, along with the initials of the two World Series teams and the number of games won by each team.

This goes down as one of my favorite championship rings. I always loved the Bulls rings. As MJ modeled in this classic pic!
