Fans will march in support of Lupe Fiasco's highly anticipated third album Lasers

October 15th will be more than just another Friday, it could be a historic moment that could change the face of the music industry as we now know it. The movement has been christened "Fiasco Friday" a day when Lupe Fiasco's fans, along with the artist himself, will march in protest to Atlantic Records offices in New York City. What started as an online petition, has blossomed into a rally against injustice. When a record label decides to shelve or delay an album there has never been a ripple effect felt to this magnitude. Lupe's "Lasers" project has been delayed by Atlantic going on 3 years.  The petition which has garnered nearly 30,000 signatures from fans around the world has yet to garner any response from Atlantic. Maybe Atlantic is looking for 500,000 - 1 million. Even if you are not a diehard Lupe fan, I think its important you show your support in some way. Follow the movement on twitter @fiascofriday. The details on October 15th are as follows: The rally will form at Grand Army Plaza, on the corner of 59th and 5th, by the statue of William Tecumseh Sherman at 11:30 AM.

The march will begin at 12 Noon heading towards 6th Avenue, also known as The Avenue of the Americas and up 7 blocks to Atlantic Records offices, located at 1290 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10104, where the protest will formally begin. If you wish to not partake in march you are encouraged to meet in front of Atlantic offices at 12:30p. Signs are encouraged but keep it classy, no profanity.
